Emberfall Chronicles
★★★★★ 4.7
Emberfall Chronicles is the kind of RPG that sneaks up on you. It starts slow, with a small party and a quiet village, and before long you're mapping skill trees on a notepad because you care who lives and who falls in the next fight.
Combat is turn-based and readable. Each character has a distinct role, and positioning on the grid matters more than raw stats. We lost a few battles early just because we ignored the back row, and the game was right to punish us.
The best part is that none of it needs a connection. The whole thirty-hour story sits on your phone, so it became our go-to for long flights. The writing has real warmth, and the pixel art holds up beautifully on a small screen.
What we liked
